What it does
Means test by filing date
Uses the U.S. Trustee Program tables for your filing date (median income, IRS standards, Chapter 13 multiplier) and shows the source for every number.
Georgia exemptions
Applies O.C.G.A. § 44-13-100, including the $50,000 homestead amount for cases filed on or after July 1, 2026. Amounts are flagged for attorney review.
Consistency check
Compares totals across forms, missing addresses, counseling dates, collateral values and plan math before anything is filed.
N.D. Ga. creditor list
Builds the creditor matrix .txt file in the court's format: 40 characters per line, 5 lines, no account numbers.
Chapter 13 worksheet
A plan worksheet that follows the court's plan sections, with a clearly labeled summary PDF. The official plan is still completed by hand.
E-filing pre-flight and XML
Checks the matrix format, missing documents, fee choice, PDF order and file sizes, and builds a national NextGen XML draft checked against the court schema. Submission stays off until the court grants test access.
Phone photo intake
Photograph pay stubs, bank statements and IDs; on-device OCR (open-source Tesseract) proposes fields for staff to review.

What “pilot” means
- Electronic filing to N.D. Ga. is off until the court grants test access; you download the package and file it.
- Email and text messages are not sent. Invitations and reminders stay in the outbox; password recovery uses one-time recovery codes.
- The credit-bureau pull returns a clearly labeled fictional sample. You can import a report file you already have.
- No remote AI. Document reading runs on your device.

Questions
Who is Counted Bankruptcy for?
Licensed attorneys and the staff of law firms who prepare bankruptcy cases, and the clients those firms invite to the client portal. It is not for people filing without an attorney.
Does it cost anything during the pilot?
No payment is collected during the pilot. The proposed prices for after the pilot are shown on this page and are not an offer yet.
Does it file cases with the court?
Not yet. Submission to the N.D. Ga. stays off until the court grants test access. You download the package and file it through CM/ECF.
How is client data protected?
Two-step sign-in is required, each firm’s sensitive fields and files are encrypted with the firm’s own key, and an append-only audit log records sign-ins and changes.
What if I forget my password?
Email is not sent during the pilot. Use one of the 10 recovery codes you receive when you set up two-step sign-in. If you have none left, your firm’s attorney can reset your access.
